The year is already flying by and as we approach the cooler months we are looking forward to enjoying some new fun adventures out and about in our local community.

We are excited to announce that we have been allowed to utilise one of the rooms and outdoor space at St Albans Baptist Church. We have invested in some fun new active resources that we can use indoors to burn off energy and will look forward to planning some fun music and movement sessions too!

You may have seen on our Facebook page our blossoming interest in insects, learning all about where they live, what they do, and what they eat. The tamariki have created their very own BUG HOTEL – Whare Ngarara which has become a permanent site in our outdoor environment.

This project has involved gathering natural materials, building and stacking crates and boxes and furnishing bedrooms to create “rooms for rent” for our bug friends at Montessori STARS.

We love how inquisitive children are, we have shared so many special conversations with our tamariki including lots of questioning, and ideas expressed and if we don’t know the answer to a question we work together to research and find it out!
Over the next few weeks, we will shift our unused garden and plant our winter vegetables in it, celebrate Matariki, have a PJ day, Pink Clothes & wacky hair day and create many more special
moments with our tamariki.🤍
