The tamariki and teachers had a blast exploring letter J the last few weeks covering lots of great concepts the highlights being, the jungle, jam and jumping of course! The tamariki enjoyed learning about the jungle and all the groovy animals that live there. We all worked together to create our own jungle on a piece of paper using books and animals for inspiration. Next up was some yummy scrummy jam on toast, which the children loooooved (come on who wouldn’t!). This was a great opportunity for the tamariki to practice their self help skills by spreading their own toast and then exploring their sense of taste by munching away on their achievements 😛 Lastly came the JUMP JAM, we all had a whale of time grooving to some music and getting our heart rates going. Not only was this loads of fun and an excellent use of our gross motor abilities, music and movement is also great for growing brains (Literally!) as it promotes neural pathway stimulation! I’ve added a wee clip of the kids jumping and jiving, go on check them out and have a go at home!
